Janis E. Martinez

Janis E. Martinez is President-CEO of Ashford Management  Group, Inc., an Atlanta-based national executive search firm.  As President, Ms. Martinez oversees all operations within the company and conducts executive searches for key clients.  She has been in the executive search field since 1976.

Ms. Martinez serves as Chair of the Southern Blood Services of The American Red Cross.  She is also a founding member of Tiffany Circle, a philanthropic arm of Red Cross, as well as a board member of Red Cross' Metro Atlanta Chapter.  Additionally, she serves as a member of their National Disaster Action Team.  Janis is a past president of the National Association of Women Business Owners.  She is a recent finalist of NAWBO Woman of the Year.  Ms. Martinez is a member of the National Retail Merchants Associate and an active member of various community service groups.  She was the 2011 recipient of the Citizen of the Year Award for Smoke Rise Community. 

Before founding Ashford Management Group in 1986, Ms. Martinez worked for ten years with an Atlanta executive recruiting firm and in the banking community.  In addition to residing in the U.S., she has also resided in Canada and the United Kingdom where she worked in a variety of corporate settings.
